Events for Singles Over 50 in Fairport historically aren’t the kind of fun I’m looking for, and actually have nothing to do with any possibility of changing our single status. Festival bands play lame crap from the radio (NOT where vocal or musical talent is!), crowds, ticket costs and over-priced everything. Having tried Meetup, Farmers Market, Canal Days, Music Festivals, I left them all feeling more disappointed and depressed, than before I went. These are not Singles events, rather they’re town events for people who already have someone! If you have also been disgusted with results of the usual town events, and realize that getting singles together to meet is obviously not a priority of any town or it’s functions, then you know that there are no singles events in Fairport or any other surrounding town.
In such a small towns as Fairport, Perinton, Penfield, Pittsford, East Rochester, and Macedon, it should be easier for singles over 40, singles over 50, singles over 60, and singles over 70 to meet somewhere somehow. But even with the water of the canal, ducks, boats, and sunsets, it isn’t easy at all. In fact for years, it’s been totally useless even trying to find a life partner and mate. Nobody talks to anyone. Nobody ever looks even approachable to say Hi! Where does everyone go, and where does this happen? The grocery store, where feeling invisible is the result. It’s beyond discouraging. Perhaps you’ve had the same experiences wondering how and where singles over 50 meet. Bars are not for me. I despise that atmosphere. They’re full of regulars; regular losers wasting money on alcohol to be around other losers instead of enjoying being outside in weather. It’s disturbing that singles don’t mingle in town by the canal outside. Singles Over 50 Events in Fairport NY are non-existent! Until now, with my free alternative to useless meetup groups for singles.
The problem with so-called Singles events like meetup groups for singles or hiking, is everyone treats it as just the event, seemingly showing zero interest in actually wanting to meet and pursue someone. There has to be a purpose beyond the event itself! I know from running my own meetup group, and looking at other singles groups, that an astonishing 95% of those who sign up for singles meetup groups, never show up for any events!
