good for actually meeting single people? Are there any singles
events anymore? Are there any singles speed dating events in
the Rochester NY area for singles over 40? Are there any social
groups or events for singles ages 40 and up? Certainly not any
that are free, or much fun, unless you call sitting inside playing
cards, bingo, or drinking at some bar fun.
Sure there’s free & paid dating sites, apps and also meetup groups.
I’ve joined & ran Meetup groups, Match, Tinder, Bumble, & also POF
to meet singles, and they all purposely have Outdated & Fake profiles!
They’re all scams; a complete waste of my time & money.
And consider this, you pay for a minimum 3 months for Match.com,
and a person (IF you find an actual real profile) you’re interested in,
also paid a minimum of 3 months. Do you actually believe they’re
going to stop looking at everyone else, just because you two met?
And you’ll probably also keep looking, to get your “money’s worth”.
Therefore, my advice from experience, is don’t even think about
using a dating site or app, whether free or paid.

There’s very few activities for singles over 40 to do together, much
less to meet other singles. It would also be nice to stay active getting
exercise while meeting other single people, so I created this site, to
give myself and other singles who are age 40 and over, who all have
loving nature in common, a chance to meet while hiking/walking
together outside in the air. It’s FREE to join.
Hopefully friendships develop, and maybe more,
because everything starts with friends!
The Singles Hiking Group will walk the canal path in
Fairport amongst the water, boats, ducks, people.
We could also hike the nearby trails, but that will
depend on member interest.
